The link/button to begin registration is at the bottom of this page. BUT, before you begin registering for OLS’s Faith Formation program, I need to explain a few things about this new registration process, and some changes in how we're doing things this year. If you prefer, you can listen to a podcast explaining these points or read the attached PDF - They'll answer 99% of any question you may have during this process. Most important is that you don't assume we "already have this information". Some of our records have out of date, or incorrect or illegible information. Also, this is a new registration and database, so everyone is technically "new".
Registration involves two steps.
Step 1: Family Registration.
Be sure to fill in all information, and make sure it's accurate, because this is replacing the on-paper records we have. We will rely heavily on this information.
Step 2: Registration for Faith Formation.
After completing the Family Registration, you'll be able to add your child(ren) by grade level. The new registration fee is $60/child. You'll be sent instructions on how to make your payment later on.
After Family Registration...
After you complete Step 1 (Family Registration) you'll be shown this "Thank You" screen. Click/tap the button it provides, to proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Faith Formation Registration
From there you can select the child you're registering (from the info you submitted in Family Registration)
Grade Level
You’ll be asked to choose the grade you’re registering your child for. This is their Faith Formation grade, not their Public School grade. This is further explained in the podcast. Register them for the next grade in their Faith Formation track. I’ll fix incorrect grade placements as I review the registrations.
What now? As we approach the new school year you'll receive your child's portal information (website, login, password, etc.) to begin using the at-home Faith Formation system, as well as information on who will oversee their progress. I'll send out calendars and important dates in a subsequent email.
What Else is Coming:
Virtual Meetings—no more in person meetings, unless you want them. On-Demand Playback of meetings you may have missed, Podcasts and short Videos for supplemental learning, in-person mini-retreats and events, LIVE Q&A Sessions about the Catholic faith, and more. This new website for OLS’s Faith Formation Program will grow fast! Be patient with us as it gets built out.
